| CAILube Fader Lube Spray, 5% Solution, 5 OZ - IN STOCK |
Type: AccessoryOLD Model MCL5S-H6A couple of years ago we read an article by George Petersen in Mix Magazine that extolled the virtues of ProGold spray. Seems he had an old patch bay that snapped, crackled and popped despite his best efforts at trouble-shooting. After a light touch of ProGold, the patch bay was useable again and George was a convert. CAIG Laboratories, Inc. has allowed Hosa to package ProGold and DeoxIT sprays in our familiar red-white-and- gold blister packs for distribution to musical instrument stores nationwide.
Which One To Choose?Use DeoxIT spray anywhere you suspect heavy oxidation problems on audio/video contact surfaces. The more expensive ProGold is perhaps best suited for treating new or lightly-oxidized contacts, since its main feature is the ability to penetrate microscopic fissures in the contact's plating, where it fills gaps and bonds chemically with the base metal and thereby dramatically improves connectivityUse the above sprays in potentiometers and on all hard-to-reach connectors. Remember, "a little goes a long way". (In fact, all of these products, when applied to the male plug, will migrate to the female jack, cleaning and protecting it, too!) Use the G100L-2DB 100% liquid to brush on new or newly-cleaned contacts anywhere in the studio, or in your home stereo. Use the K-G50W wipes on guitar-cable plugs or on the end-connectors on computer circuit cards. (Wipes offer the benefit of increased friction for cleaning.) Use Cailube Spray MCL5S-H6 to replenish lost lubrication in faders and pots that have been cleaned with solvents or other cleaning solutions. Works great on conductive plastics as well as carbon-compound contacts.
