by - Boris Alexandrov Sample CDUnitra Eltra Rytm 16 was made in Poland. This one was was produced in 1989.Some data: This analog rhythm box is very simple .It has 16 rhythm patterns, each with 1 variation. They are assigned to 8 separate buttons with A/B switch and variations can be changed manually from another button on the front panel . There are 2 sliders for volume and tempo and a red power button . That's all the controls you can find on the front panel . It's as simple as that. Isn't it? On the rear panel there are a mono jack for output signal, a 5-pin footswitch socket and a 125mAT fuse. A bit about the *.gigs and the way they were done. There are 96 *.gigs with punchy analog loops. 32 are dry and the rest are with some high quality effects added . The total size of this CD is about 440 megabytes together with the Unitra presentation. All the samples were recorded digitally directly into the PC. The only thing that has been done to them is that the samples have been normalized to 0.0 dB and high quality effects have been added to the "Wet " ones . The sounds that have no infinite sustain are full envelope recordings. The sample ends only when the synth note fades on its own. The voices that would sustain indefinitely ARE looped, but the loop point doesn't occur until 10-12 seconds into the sample so in most cases you'll play the unlooped sound. Each Unitra pattern has been sampled on a separate key. The original Unitra Eltra Rytm 16 had no velocity sensitivity, but Gigasampler adds velocity sensitivity by default, which helps to play the loops with more expression and fantasy. However, if you want to be as close as you can to the original , set the velocity to "linear" in the instrument editor. The Unitra Eltra Rytm 16 loops in this collection were recorded and programmed by Boris Alexandrov who also owns it .
