SAM Horns is the new orchestral French Horn section sample library for the GIGA platform from Project SAM. The developers created a new approach to sampling brass, focusing on musicality, expression, ambience and articulation. This way they created the ultimate set of samples for sequencing realistic French Horn lines and passages. The library offers you an extensive collection of articulations and note lengths, ranging from the noblest sustains, portatos and marcatos to the shortest staccatos. The library also contains a collection of film effects samples, ranging from aggressive clusters and swells to atmospheric textures and beds.

SAM Horns tries to capture the human emotion and expression of the performers on stage. All recordings have been left pure and in tact. When you press a single sample, you will really hear the actual players performing. The library aims for the powerful & filmic French Horn sound we all know from soundtracks, but normally can't easily re-create. You can choose the amount of ambience you want: there is a close and distant mic'ed version of every sample in the library, all containing the warm and full sound of a controlled concert hall environment.
