OVERVIEW SPECIFICATIONSThis modern adaptation of the classic Chinese drum features tacked pretuned Fiberskyn® 3 drumhead mounted on an Acousticon shell.HistoryThe character for “drum” was first found in the inscriptions on bones and tortoise shells of the Shang Dynasty (BC 1562 - 1066). At that time more than half of all musical instruments were percussion instruments. Chinese drums come in a huge variety of sizes and styles and they have been used in every aspect of Chinese society from use in battle for signaling troops, to use in Buddhist ceremonies.
