M24: Dedicated Remote Control Surface

The M24 is a state of the art, dedicated remote control surface, providing the best of both the digital and physical worlds.

Each channel has a switch and LED for Solo, Mute, Soft and Select, Use the select switch to make all controls including EQ, dynamics; effect sends and plug-ins for that channel active. The function of the soft switch depends on the current software mode.

The M24 is the first control surface to feature a complete dedicated equalizer section with 12 controls divided into 4 bands.

Controls are provided for Gain, Frequency, and Width on each band with band bypass and EQ type buttons for each band. An extra control is provided for input trim.

The top 16 controls and switches are divided into 2 banks of 8. The first bank has 8 controls for effect send levels and 8 switches for pre /post or bypass. The second bank is dedicated to dynamics. All 16 controls are available in banks of 16 for control of plug-ins and soft synths depending on the host software.

Specifications:

The function of the soft button on each channel depends on the current mode and can double for record enable or automation burn.

Each channel has a pan control with multiple pan modes and in channel strip mode the entire row of pan controls change function depending on the host software.

Each channel has a 100mm touch sensitive motorized fader.

10 buss assign buttons that double markers and also select many alternate functions that can include zoom, grouping, plug-ins, pan, lcd, and utility modes.

12 encoders for Equalizer control divided into 4 bands with control for Gain, Freq, and Width on each band with band bypass and EQ type buttons, for each band. The soft control can be used as input trim or to select the function of the pan controls in the channel strip mode.

2 bank swap switches allow unlimited number of channels to be controlled in banks. They can also be used to increment or decrement the channel offset.

3 switches for automation mode select and automation read, write enable

5 switches for transport control and 5 switches for data entry or navigation. The jog wheel can be used for data entry or audio scrubbing.

The swap button can swap the entire console to an alternate setup or to a second program. It can also be used for fader pan flip in channel strip mode.

The top 16 encoders and switches are divided into 2 banks of 8. The first bank has 8 encoders for effect send levels and 8 switches for pre /post that can double as bypass switches. The second bank of 8 is dedicated to dynamics with controls for Compression, Gating and Limiting with controls Labeled for Threshold, Ratio, Attack. Release, and Gain with buttons labeled for Bypass, Link and Knee. All 16 controls can have alternate functions as well depending on the software.

The back panel has 3 midi in and out ports to allow for multi program use or emulation of three 8 channel controllers or high resolution modes.

The accessory port is for planned options and cascading multiple controllers together

The USB is for high speed interface and can also act as a multi channel midi port. Updates will add more USB features. The US8 port is also used to update the controllers features and midi mapping. As new features are added the User can download the update from the web and reconfigure the console.

The M24 uses 2 heavy duty internal universal power supplies because motorized faders require lots of well regulated power to operate reliably.

A padded armrest is available as an option.
