the system

This 2 way coaxial system is housed in a compact bass reflex cabinet. Due to the nature of the coaxial driver the BLACKs can be placed in any position, without changing it's superior characteristics, upright, rotated at +/-90 degrees and 180. Two identical 100W amplifiers supply a homogenous fidelity. This is one of the reasons why this model can be used in nearly any pro audio application. The low frequency performance is excellent, and can be expanded if needed, by adding an EMES AMBER HR Sub.

driver technologie

For the woofer/midrange driver, we use a 17cm polypropylene membrane with low loss suspension. Inside the woofers coil/magnet system, we integrate a 25mm textile dome. By doing so we have created a 2-way driver where the two coils are mechanically time aligned and the sound field is generated as one! The complete magnet system of this driver is shielded by adding a second magnet and surrounded by a ľ-metal cap!

the electronics

Two complete, separated channel strips are used to keep the electronic crosstalk to a minimum. Each of these has an identical amplifier - this means the tweeter has the same amount of power in the back as the woofer. A design feature that we never want to miss, because distortion created by different designs or varying power output is not what we want! Our so called "quick delivery" - digital power- supplies are built with the same goal in mind. It works 2,000 times faster than an analog device and is far lighter in weight. On the back you will find 16 step dip switches for the input sensitivity, low fq control (-6 to + 4 dB), and the high fq section (-4 to +4 dB) .
