There is no reason your Laptop or Notebook does not have the latest FireWire connectivity. The NitroAV CardBus is ready to provide up to 800Mbps to the new crop of FireWire 800/1394b devices and especially suited for the fastest 800 based RAID and high performance storage products. FireWire 800 (9Pin) is backwards compatible to FireWire 400/1394a devices.
