The MAESTRO Instructional Video Series is designed to give you an overview of important information about your new instrument and to show you the various skills you will need to develop as you learn to play.
These instructional tapes and booklet are in no way intended to take the place of a Band or Orchestra Director, private teacher or method book. Our intention is to help aspiring students and other beginners to get a good start and establish a solid foundation for study. These videos can be used along with classroom studies and private lessons.
Each MAESTRO Instructional program will take the student through;
Your teacher for the “MAESTRO" CELLO Instructional is DOUG BRUESTLE. Doug earned his Bachelor of Music Degree from the College-Conservatory of Music, University at Cincinnati in 1977 and is in the progress at completing his Master of Music Degree from the same University. Doug has an impressive record as a Public Educator. In 1972 Doug began as a Public School Teacher in the Cincinnati School System. Since 1980 he has taught grades 4-12 at the Fairfield City Schools as Orchestra director and Music Supervisor, Ohio. He is also Musica direc- tor for the Middletown Youth Symphony and also devotes his time as Musical Directer to the Chancel and Bell Choir at a Cincinnati Church Organization. As a performer Doug has been the Principal Cellist with the Kamloops Symphany Orchestra. B.C Canada.
Remember, the key to success in anything that you do is to keep at it and never give up. Only practice will improve your playing skills.
