Envelope Controlled Filter

Mike Matthews, Founder of Electro-Harmonix, the most famous, innovative, and
prolific sound effects company in the history of music.
Mike Beigel, Designer of the world’s first self-contained envelope controlled filter,
the acclaimed Mutron III.

Together these legends of the music industry have created the first all-new
Electro-Harmonix product in 15 years: The Q-Tron envelope controlled filter.

Using the opto-electronic design that made Mutron III famous, the Q-Tron offers up
the same liquid, vowel-like automatic wah effects as that prized vintage unit. Yet it
does so with an increased frequency response and an improved signal-to-noise
ratio. New features such as switchable Boost and Filter Mix mode allow for a multitude
of previously unnattainable sounds, making the Q-Tron the most versatile,
sophisticated, and unique unit of its kind.
The Q-Tron envelope controlled filter - another first from Electro-Harmonix!
