| Styles Disk #53 Latin 2 |
|
Please note some features found in these styles require Band-in-a-Box 2006. The styles will play fine on previous versions but the "instrument change in the "b" section" feature will be unavailable.
We're delighted to bring you this set of 20 great Latin styles. In this collection, you'll find rhythms for musical styles from Cuba (Salsa, Mambo, Rumba, Bolero), Martinique (Beguine), Brazil (Bossa, Samba), French West Indies (Zouk), Columbia (Cumbia), Dominican Republic (Merengue), Bolivia (Lambada), Argentina (Tango) and more. Many of these styles make use of the feature added in Band-in-a-Box 2006 that allows instrument changes in the "b" section of tunes. The styles will play fine on previous versions of Band-in-a-Box but the "instrument change in the "b" section" feature will be unavailable. In most cases, the instrument changes are subtle and are used to brighten up or slightly change the "b" section. For example, an acoustic piano at "a" might change to a bright acoustic piano at "b." On the other hand, a style like TngoShak.sty uses 2 distinctly different styles for each section. TngoShak.sty uses a traditional Tango style in the "a" section at a tempo of around 120, and a contemporary fast Pop-Rock Tango in the "b" section at a tempo of around 170. When using this style, you would need to insert a tempo change (and melody instrument change if desired) at the "b" section. All Styles Sets, including this one, are available as part of the Band-in-a-Box MegaPAK software bundle. Get them all with the Band-in-a-Box MegaPAK, available for both Windows and Macintosh.
