Welcome to DJEMBE JAM! - created to help you get started playing and making music on your djembe drum. I designed this video with the beginner in mind, so I start by familiarizing you with the parts of the djembe drum and noting some variations. Then we get you set up, tuned up and ready to play. All the basic techniques are demonstrated and shown from different angles so you can see exactly how to make musical sounds on your drum -- but that's only the start! I discuss and demonstrate the four basic ways to play; Rolling, Riding, Riffing and Resting and I give you three ideas you can use when you make music with your friends; Matching, Echoing and Answering.
