NOTES - First you will be taught all the notes.

SCALES - You will learn how to make a major scale (lonion Mode) from all 12 notes. A clear understanding of these diatronic scales will make chord analysis easy!

CHORDS - Chords of the 6th, 7th, 9th, 11th and 13th are fully explained and the notion of taking a chord name and then deducing the notes in that chord.

INTERVALS - You will learn a system that will let you name any two pitch- es. Intervals larger than and smaller than an Octave are explained.

TRIADS - You will learn how Major, Minor, Diminished and Augmented Triads are made by pulling out the First, Third and Fifth Notes of the scale and how alterations are made.

INVERSIONS - The notation of chord inversion is explained. You are then shown how to open up chords. Net the notion of doubling is explained.
